that looks like a lighter!

Ooops! But I've even forgotten which retailer gave it to me!

Ultra Lights

Well, as Marlboro started some new generation packs of flavors,

there came one after the other and Ultra Lights has been one of them!

I can't really remember back then if this was a special limited edition,

but it didn't stand long on the shelves! I have not smoked it anyway as 

I just happened to collect them from a canteen at the shipyard! 

Lucky me always meeting nice retailers!
Guess so I'll never quite end Marlboro's range as yet 
but I will be caught up at month end when I had to
settle for SALEM ICE, showcase brand of September month!

The Mint of Marlboro

In the event of coping up with the new generation of smokers,

like other cigarette producers, Marlboro too have been working

hard on producing more flavors, 

or rather I should say more styles for smokers!

And so, came the lavishly looking Fresh Mint pack! 

2007 seems to be a busy year for most cigarette companies

to get going on new ideas before the new regulations, the new directive 

that was finally strictly being imposed in 2008.

which I believe many have not even got a glimpse of it.

The moment it touches the retail's shelf, it was snapped up!

Marlboro for a Occasion

Reminiscing the current celebration of Aidilfitri on the special packages 

that once Marlboro used to issue,

this has been one of them that we hardly get to see these days!

But anyway, during the past fasting month of Ramadan,
not only the Muslims don't eat nor have a drop of water,
nobody even can have a smoke!

Along came a blue pack!

After such long period of the 3 classics, 

there finally came a lighter flavor of Marlboro,

a blue box!

An addition to the family!

It has been hard for people, smokers especially,

to remember by the original Marlboro packs that lasted over a decade

and the boxes were not being remembered by many.

Well, but lucky me who have this interest, have kept some of those!

These have been the 3 classics of Marlboro. Have a pleasant view!

Marlboro's past sports publicity

I was going through my older bLoGs after being absent 

from here for half a month and while at my July 7th's 

Marlboro special sports packs, it reminded me of 

one of the last full page newspaper advertisements

on the F1 Ferraris at The Malaysian Grand Prix in 1999.

These days we are really getting smaller ads on such occasions 

and I have 2 of the best remembered pieces that I've kept and

I am sharing them here. Of course I have many of such ads 

over the years but these are two of my favorites! 

Hope you will like them too!

They are actually poster collections to one of my hobbies!

This goes to say I not only collect cigarette boxes but also adverts,

posters and memorabilia as my collectibles!

The Black Box wraps up!

As we come to a closing on the black box packagings,

this is one other hardly heard of brand around - Black Gold.

It has 2 flavors, the normal full filters and menthol.

The casing comes in metal box ad has a wrap-around

as you will see below, the opened box view.

As for the SALEM, you will notice that the packaging name

is known as NOVA while Marlboro called it Evo.

Anyway, these 2 names has a close similarity with a locally

produced brand called Promax. They started this name

called REVO on their special taste product which came in

2 flavors, the normal full filter and menthol.

We'll get this product featured at a later time.

As I close off on this black box packaging issue from the new

outlook of today's cigarettes, the next will be this month's

showcase brand - Pall Mall and it's record breaking special pack.

World's first of it's kind!

Black Smoke!

Well, cigarette brands are always in very keen competition in outdoing

each other on their packaging outlook! It must look as good as it's going

to taste! Always spending time in their designs.

With my last bLoG on SALEM's new release of their recent slim packs,

this is their "black box" but still it's a menthol flavor!

Actually this post was supposed to be on SALEM black packs as I mentioned,

but since I also have this Marlboro's new box in black ( labelled TOUCH ),

I might as well present it at the same time.

There is the DUNHILL version though, which has been in

the market for around 6 months I think. It's part of their set of other colors

in this latest packaging design. It has this special lift up cigarette cover inside.

If I'm not mistaken they are the first to have this design.

Well, I'll be posting the DUNHILL black as well when I get hold of it.

And talking about the first, well, if you have noticed the banner at the top right

you might have seen the Pall Mall's special side opening box on display as

cigarette choice of July. Each month I will select a brand to paste up next to

my banner as my choice of the month.

Hope that you liked my collection and hopefully I'll invest a daily routine to write

one each day for I've got too many at hand.

Welcome to My Marlboro wOrLd!

It's my favorite collection of MARLBORO cigarette box of the century!

The Sports Special Editions!

The following is a close up of the Triangle-shaped Special Limited Edition.

It's been almost coming to half a year since I took up another post in here 
after being silence from the creation of this bLoGspace.

Now that I have resettled myself from migration 

( from far south to furthest north of the country ) 

since mid March earlier this year, I will invest more time for this bLoGspace.

From the original bLoGs I used to write in Yahoo's Y360 that later migrated over 
their new transition beta as Yahoo Profile ( now labelled PULSE ) 
has not been too accomodating and unexciting. 
There seems to be a cushioning that brought about quite some silence 
as if everybody is not in there! 
There's as if the feel ain't like it was before anymore. 
What more now we have to tackle Yahoo's new Shine!

This disappointment actually has started this space 
but I have not really put in effort to really bLoG about 
my cigarette stuffs simply because there's a question in my head - 
where do i begin?

With that, what I really did the kick off was put in a bLoG news.

Still not decided how I will go about continuing from where I left off 
from my cigarette box bLoGs, 
I've given some deep thoughts over it just recently, 
after I have reinstated my landline with this broadband 
on 18th this month actually.

It got simple - I just have to put in my favorite collections to begin with!
