Some kinda transition

Hi, readers and friends! First and foremost I'd like to explain the absence of the bLoGs I was supposed to post -  the contrabands. 

Well, of course something did happened and it was a very frustrating situation! 
My old Dual Core powered desktop's SATA 1 hard disk suddenly went kaput! 
Missing in action! It just don't wanna read, cannot be found! 
I tried all else and it's not working! 
The 2nd. IDE Western D that's still working had most of other 
 files transfered out. 

Actually I've had my new 500Gb Seagate USB pocket drive 
that's been backing up most of the files. 
In the midst of doing that, it just happened! 
And worst is most of the latest of the contrabands ciggy boxes 
pix were all in there! So, I was stuck untill now. 

It is quite tedious to get things right on the time and arrangement all that, 
so I had a hard time. Reshooting them is also not feasible coz then I'll have to dig all of them out from the storage boxes! I'll sneeze! 

Well, ok, what best thing I can do is get back to the normal usual bLoG 
and try keeping up with the "TiMeLiNe" as much as possible.

Olive Green in Australia

This year, Australia got togher with cigarette companies 

ans has started to join the world tp reduce smoking. 

It is enforcing the ruling of deterrent graphics on cigarette packs 

to deter smokers.

The Australian government also unveiled it's plan to force big tobacco companies to use plain packaging for cigarettes despite the threat of industry legal actions. 

It seems that by next year, all logos will have to be dropped, removed from the box.

Olive green was picked as researchers found that this color would deter smokers from smoking. 

It was reported that each year about 15,000 Australians die of diseases related to smoking. 

This cause has cost the lost of over A$30 billion in healthcare and productivity.

More nations around the world will keep on tackling this prevention 

but, will the smoking industry simmer down?
Well, we'll see then. They should quit the companies and not the smokers quitting!

Fisher Red

As my hunt for this one and only Red Full filters goes in vain, 

( reason that it's being stocked up somewhere in one of those boxes )

and the search that was really been frustrating, I will cut short the time. 

In order to fight lost TiME, I'll have to close up FISHER month 

with the posted banner that shows the red filters box standing upfront. 

Pardon me but it's in there! ;-D 

With this, I'll continue the numerous contrabands for the rest of 2011, 

hopefully with great speed! Trying to catch up LOST time really!

Fisher GOLD

As I have had some hard time hunting from my stock pile

on that one and only red box of FISHER, I think I'll

post this GOLD red filters for now.

It's the complete collection, together with the warning tex packst.

Probably there might have the packs with graphics.

But until then and when I dig out the whereabouts of the red box,

Fisher blues

I got the first pack of Fisher lights blue box 

when i migrated up north to The Pearl of Orient, Penang Island. 

It seems that you could find this contraband all around town 

and even at the most remote village where I dwell!

The pix on the left is the 100's King Size, 

that comes in soft packs looks like the Rothmans King size. 
The standard 20's hard pack is on the right. 
The following is the complete carton of softpack King size 100's.

And this is the blue 20's hard box set.

Virginia Lights

This is the last of the slims in my collection to date! 

This Virginia Lights is very popular in Singapore 

and that was where I bought it many years ago!

JUNE is longest in slim

JUNE is one menthol slim ciggy that's been around for a long time 

especially amongst the lady smokers!

Avolution - the slimmest!

This is one of those slimmest ciggy I found! 

And it's imported from Indonesia, both legally & illegally! 

And it comes in 20's, their kind of salty taste menthol!

I have not learnt much about it but i sure do hope you like the collection.

CANYON menthol slim

This slim was a recent collection. 

I never knew CANYON has this slim menthol of 20 sticks. 

I met an elderly  man from downtown and 

i told him that i collects boxes. 

He then later gave me 3 boxes. 

Thanks to him i have this! 

But still it's a contraband! 
Or now being labelled illicit ciggys!

Gin, a special

Middle of last year, i wrote on 2 slim ciggarettes. 

One was a new launch from SALEM and 

the other was a contraband on the streets called JUNE. 

This bLoG about GIN is one of a kind. 

The box is even smaller, the sticks slimmer 

and it appears like a wallet! 

Taste? Well, soothing menthol actually! 

The ladies like them! Origin? Not known.

CAMEL softpack

Before I close the March CAMEL showcase, 

I'd like to post the only softpack ( filterless ) that I've found. 

Though it's not the older version, 

it still is an addition to my latest collection! 

It may look ugly with the current required regulations in my region, 

but in time to come, the collections will be flooded with similar looks 

for all ciggy! Have FuN! And have a great day!

CAMEL Limited Edition

Well, today i will complete my collection of CAMEL 

until I start collecting again on the new packs based 

on the New Directive Policy. 

And this has been their very special Limited Edition! 

eNjOy the views! 

It is packaged with a metal lighter as premium! Nice & quality! 

And what it says about CAMEL on the inside of the box cover in gold!

Well, and this has been their special die-cut counter display set 
during the promotion. 

Most of the time these display stands will be thrown away. 

The coffee shop I frequent always try and save them up 
for my collections!

CAMEL 14's Special packs

As the 14 sticks were getting absolute soon, 

CAMEL has offered a special issue in soft box packs 

that came with a simple premium lighter inside. 

They would probably wanna leave a sweet memory behind 

before the 14's packs goes off the shelves! 

Looks neat though!

Well, though I've few of CAMEL's limits, 

still I manage to keep up with some of them!

CAMEL Special Metal Box

I've had very limited collections on CAMEL. 

But this has been one of the very special metal box sets

with a premium lighter inside. 

It's a rare gift set I have collected in 2009.

 Have you seen this before? It's a very solid metal case!

CAMEL in my vault

Well, i have very limited collections on the earlier CAMEL.

Simple reason is there are hardly anyone around me 

who smoke it! However, i managed on a later stage.

to collect them till this day, yet still very limited! 

These are the basic 3 sets of it's regular packs. 

The following were the only set of 14 stick packs with me.

To me, CAMEL is always orange & they come in soft packs 

without filters, similar to Lucky Strike. But today they are blue!

Guess that's about all with CAMEL this way round.

Next I'll be posting on some of the specials that I've kept.

MILD Seven's carton box

These 2 were the only carton box I have collected.

It ain't easy but I managed.

Well, i guess that's about all of MILD Seven collection.

MILD Seven New & Trendy

iT is just a matter of time that MILD Seven gets trendy 

with the new era of cigarettes, just like everybody else is trying!

Yes, so it's the SKY BLUE & it's long running charcoal filters

MILD Seven Reinvent

There has been quite some changes from MILD SEVEN

in the last couple of years and they really put in

lots of efforts. I wrote about it's origin last year and as October's showcase.

Now let's see how they added change to their image!

Well, this was their first look and they also added another flavor,  

super lights.

This shows they really excel in the lights flavor!

Well, at least they fit into the trend of today's generation!

Then again they started reinventing their looks once more 

and they have this new logo on their packs sometime 

October last year. I only managed to obtain it later on.

And like everybody else, it has a brand on it's pack - SKY BLUE !
And it came out as a 2010 Edition pack. Dunno if it was a special.

Sounds just great! It does fit in! I'll see you later on.

Dunhill hibernates

Well, time for a rest on DUNHILL.

Next month is still in a puzzle.

Dunhill Lights in Blue

Dunhill in my collection seems endless and i M late!

One of those nicer parts of Dunhill is their premiums.

And this metal case is one of it's last special packs

until we see another in a near future which I think will take some time!

Here is it. The Lights in BLUE! Bluer than blue! 

The neatly folded card is only obtainable from the retailer!

DUNHILL Boost

2011 bring about some new look in packaging for cigarettes!

DUNHILL is one of them and this has been January's

so-called Menthol Boost! A new product from DUNHILL!

Meaning? Well, it is deeper in menthol taste I feel and chilling!

Oh well, i had to taste it to feel it! ;-D

It is trying to be as biting as SALEM!

I tried as labeled and there really is a click sound!

You can feel the "kick" right thru your nose!

And, this really is a Limited Edition pack for now 

cos it is hard to get! You can't find it at all retail stores.

So, if you wanna get this attractive pack and
wanna take a feel of that boost, you betta be quick!

Dunhill's Leafy concern

It's Dunhill's special Leafy set released few years back.

I guess it's around 2008/2009 if i am nor mistaken.

And it's this month's showcase!

Sorry i am late but, I am here just for you!

They came in 2 Menthols and a light flavor 

And the box set came with a free heavy metal lighter.

Well, these lighters were once presented as a gift

many years ago and they don't last as it looks!

After a refill, they are NOT useable anymore!
